Sol. By applying Kirchhoff’s Current Law, we get the current in 10 Ω Ω
I 10 = I 5 + I 6 = 4 + 1 = 5 A
The voltage across 6 Ω Ω resistor is V 6 = 24 V = V 1 – 10 × 5
⇒ V 1 = 74 V
Now, consider the loop ABFE

If we apply Kirchhoff’s Voltage Law, we get
V s = 5 – 30 – 24 = –49 V
